Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is authors we’ve read the most books from. I’ve also included my favorite and least favorite books for each author, although a lot of those were tricky decisions, and if I put together this list a year from now (or even a week from now), I bet a lot of them would be different.
#1 – James Rollins (29)
I’ve actually only read 24 books by “James Rollins,” but I also read five fantasy books he published under the name James Clemens, which bumps him up to my most-read author.
Favorite – Bloodline
Least Favorite – The Kill Switch
#2 & #3 – Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child (27)
I wasn’t sure whether to count these two together or not. If you want to break it down, I’ve read 22 books by the two of them together, and 5 each of their solo books.
Favorite – Dance of Death
Least Favorite – Riptide
#4 – David Baldacci (26)
Favorite – The Sixth Man
Least Favorite – Hell’s Corner
#5 – Steve Berry (17)
Favorite – The Third Secret
Least Favorite – The Columbus Affair
#6 – Michael Crichton (17)
Favorite – Prey
Least Favorite – Eaters of the Dead
#7 – Stephen King (16)
Favorite – The Green Mile
Least Favorite – Cujo
#8 – Philippa Gregory (12)
Favorite – The Boleyn Inheritance
Least Favorite – The White Princess
#9 – C.S. Lewis (11)
Favorite – That Hideous Strength
Least Favorite – The Last Battle
#10 – J.K. Rowling (11)
Like with James Rollins, that total includes the two books she’s written as Robert Galbraith.
Favorite – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Least Favorite – The Casual Vacancy
