Today marks the beginning of the ’90s Nostalgia Fright Fest Read-Along!
(But that’s an awfully unwieldy title, so I’ll just be calling it Fright Fest for short.)
The idea of this read-along is to pick up all those scary books you read as a kid but haven’t looked at in years. R.L. Stine’s Fear Street or Goosebumps series and the novels of Christopher Pike were all extremely popular back in the ’90s when I was a kid, but if “Nostalgia Fright Fest” brings something else to mind for you, go with it!
(And I might as well be honest, half the reason I stuck ’90s in the title was for the alliteration.)
Whatever you’re reading, be sure to share it with the rest of us. Update on your blog or on social media, where we’ll be using the hashtag #ffreadalong. Every Friday, I’ll post a new check-in where you can link up to your updates or just share in the comments how the event is going for you.
Unfortunately, thanks to WordPress, I can’t embed the sign-up linky, so…
If you’ve written a kick-off post of your own, an announcement, a TBR list for the event, go ahead and link it up… or, if you don’t have a specific post, just link up to your blog (or Twitter, or Goodreads, or wherever) to show us you’re participating.
Let the Fright Fest begin!
