      • I am really interested in hearing your thoughts on it — I wanted to like it so much more than I did, but yet I felt compelled to keep reading — it was definitely an odd one for me. And if you can enlighten me as to what I was missing, I would love that!

  1. I don’t read many thrillers, but when I hear a good summary, I don’t hesitate to pick it up. This sounds good. Sounds like Gone Girl in that you don’t know which side you should believe.

    • I actually haven’t read Gone Girl, but yes, you’re definitely wondering who to believe. Before I Go to Sleep was another great one that plays with that uncertainty.

  2. Sounds like a good read. If you read real story-telling style of writing, I would highly recommend Shadow of the Wind.

  3. Oh, I really liked The Farm! I also had never read anything by this author (and don’t think I’d want to start a trilogy), but liked that this was a stand-alone. I loved the writing, and thought the premise was very cool. I love a book that keeps me guessing!

    • It seems like the more I read, the harder it is to surprise me. With this one I’d guessed some of what happened, but not all of it… and even the part I suspected, I was nowhere close to certain that that’s how it would turn out. It was more my mind just tossing out possibilities as they came to me.
