One year ago today was my very first post of Cheap Thrills!
First posts are hard.
It’s probably not a great idea to start off my blog by whining, but there it is. It’s a lot of pressure to create that first impression. What if I overwhelm you with too much information? Or bore you with not enough? I don’t want to skip the introductions, but I don’t want it to read like I’m filling out a survey. The cruel joke is that this post will soon be buried under newer ones and it won’t actually be a first impression for any but a few people, but that doesn’t make the pressure any less.
(Perhaps I put a little too much thought into this?)
At any rate, it’s been a great year. I’m really happy with my little corner of the internet, and I’m thankful to those of you who are a part of it.
I’m celebrating with a free book for one of my readers! If you haven’t entered yet, you still have until the end of the month; check out the giveaway post for details!
One other little announcement… I’m now on Google+!
I know it’s not as popular as Facebook, but I don’t think I’ll be getting over my aversion to them any time soon. And to be honest, I’ll probably never be as active on Google+ as I am on Twitter. Still, so far it’s been worth it, if only for the Book Bloggers Do It Better community. It really is every bit as great as I’ve been hearing.
So… look me up on Google+, enter my giveaway… and thanks again for a great year!
